Seems like I haven't posted here in much longer than six days but here we go, another drone album, this one perhaps a bit more ambient and meditative but good all the same.
Exorcism - Xela ![]() ![]() Said to be the last album by the electronic artist, Xela's Exorcism is a hauntingly dark yet smoothly reflective record laced with ambient drones that are ethereal and beautiful. It's sad to see Xela go after the after a string of truly great albums but if this album is indeed the last, it's a fine way to end. It's available for stream and download on Xela's soundcloud. http://soundcloud.com/_type/sets/xela-exorcism Edited by The Truth - December 16 2011 at 22:55 |

Ok guys, so basically I'm having a brain fart and can't think of what to post before Christmas get here so I'm going to give you some videos of great stuff I've heard recently. Sound good? Here we go.
Motion Sickness of Time Travel: "Magnetism" from the album Seeping Through the Veil of the Unconscious Boston Spaceships: "Dorothy's A Planet" from The Planets Are Blasted Bvdub: "Fall" from Resistance Is Beautiful All very interesting things I've listened to recently, check them out and enjoy. EDIT: JUST IN! 6LA8 has released what may be their best record to date, The Stereotypes of Tomorrow on their bandcamp: http://6la8.bandcamp.com/album/the-stereotypes-of-tomorrow The album is downright eargasmic with influences the range from Godspeed You! Black Emperor to dubstep musicians. Not to be missed, an early Christmas present! Edited by The Truth - December 22 2011 at 18:11 |

One last Christmas present, Rad Manor's Extravagance, released for free on archive.org. It's quite amazing electronic music that's just drowned in nostalgia. I think many will enjoy it.

Who wants to lay back and relax? Fall into a deep dream-state loaded with nostalgia? That's why I'm here, showing you Sea Oleena, a great project showed to me by my good friend Joel (aka progkidjoel) and boy am I glad he did.
![]() ![]() ![]() Shoegazing, dream-pop folk with a twinge of drone and ambient creates one heck of a trip and I really had some good times with my first listen of Sea Oleena's first two records. Both are caked in that nostalgia I referred to previously and fill the listener with a calm that not many other records have achieved. They're pay-what-you-want on bandcamp but worth so much more than that, either record is great although I may like Sleeplessness a tad bit more. http://seaoleena.bandcamp.com/album/sleeplessness Enjoy. ![]() And thanks, Joel! |

This sounds like something that you should do Truthy:
Little Knight Needs Your Help!
As some of you are aware, the story of Little Knight ends as he departs on a quest to find his lost Princess. If you haven't read the story, you can find it here. |

It's been far too long so I have three albums for you guys, to start of this:
![]() A farewell album of sorts (the project is on hiatus now) this is 6LA8's latest record, a collaboration with Aus Rine, two very tight-knit groups creating a very beautiful ambient/electronic/drone/post-rock album that is typical of albums under the 6LA8 moniker. Indefinable to say the least, and a very enjoyable listen, please delve in. http://6la8.bandcamp.com/releases As well as this: ![]() A wonderful post-rock project that will hopefully be on the site soon, a very intense and diverse listen. Post-rock with a really interesting flavor that many groups aren't able to achieve. http://crimsonmourn.bandcamp.com/album/bring-your-desires-here Lastly but not leastly, this: ![]() A sort of neo-glam rock with some psych influences, this is some great pop rock music. May not be prog but some David Bowie and Lou Reed influences make the record really enjoyable. And besides, it's free. http://foxygen.bandcamp.com/ Thanks to those who haven't given up on me. |

IT LIVES
Heard a new absolutely dreamy folk album that I needed to share: ![]() ![]() Kind of reminds me of a heavier version of Entertainment for the Braindead but it still has the ethereal voice and folk qualities all through it, the atmosphere is just a tad bit heavier. Thus far, she's released the album The Quarry for free download on bandcamp and it's a real gem, easy-listening goodiness, something to get yourself lost it. http://oracogan.bandcamp.com/ |

This week's album is actually a whole bandcamp page of awesome experimental/drone/ambient/noise by the artist The Ozark Witch:
![]() The Law of a Vital Few ![]() Pilgrim ![]() Rooms This is one of my favorite bandcamp discoveries and The Ozark Witch is an artist who appears to be pretty active as of late so more albums may come soon. Enjoy. ![]() |
