I haven't looked at any stats for a few years before they became really prevalent, but I seem to remember back then the results being that they made no difference in accident rates. Yeah and your bolded part is a joke. Cops looks at them, but the same guy is looking at 500 of these things in a day. They're just flipping through quickly, and there's no human element to it. They'll send you a ticket no matter how far through the intersection you are when the camera flashes.

These memes need a better image for the what I think I do because I certainly don't imagine myself as some military leader carrying the US's flag after a conquest.

^As I said, a person and his dog will do...
By the way, on the traffic issue, they're at it again drafting regulations so that electronic devices don't work in cars. One of the biggest proponents of the measure had her daughter I think died in a car accident. As always, these useless safety measures usually come from people who have suffered loss and think they can somehow save the world and atone for whatever feeling of guilt they might have by imposing new restrictions to absolutely everybody else.

For what I think I do it should be something like this: Oh God look at what we're arguing over now. We need a new topic.

This gave me a good laugh.
Monday is "Presidents' Day." I will celebrate same by honoring the best
president this country ever had: William Henry Harrison. He caught
pneumonia on inauguration day and died a month later, leaving him little
time for mischief. Do you see what penicillin has done to us? |

The photo needs better resolution or many people will believe libertarians actually are war-mongerers who go even further than neocons since they want to drive their own tanks...

Where is your proof that they send you a ticket without a review of the pictures?

I didn't say that. I said that officers are inundated with these photos and also are more likely to give ticket by writing it to a faceless person rather than pulling someone over on the street. To prove this I just point to simple numbers and human psychology. To prove the fact that they hand tickets to anyone remotely in the intersection, I only have anecdotal evidence. You can get them overturned pretty easily, but it still requires you to go through the rather tedious and expensive process of that.

It would just confirm the democrat's opinion that libertarians are republicans in a new disguise. Ironic since democrats are just republicans in a new disguise.

But some do! Ya know those that don't really know what they're saying but they are about being like the founding fathers and the consitution and other great words they like to say! Gotta say though, that's fairly accurate for the Rep, Dem, Media and friend ones.

This is not libertarian or anything but rant I need to. I'm waiting for a few things to get done on my girl's car and I watch tv in the waiting room. I watch about 25 minutes of BBC news and I'm able to see news about the US and about the world, and actual real issues at that. Then I tune in to CNN: non-stop coverage of Whitney Houston's death... All the time... The only subject...
Actually, there is a libertarian link. The channel was not really BBC but it was running on PBS.
PBS: the only government-run thing worth keeping, and better than the private sh*t.. .
