Wait, why are you mentioning the 19th when it's not yet the 19th?

I am a tad amused that nobody died on the 18th or indeed today, the 19th.

You can just block the XML request in the list of blockable items.

Rico, it's the 19th in other time zones and someone famous may have died in one of them.

I could sacrifice myself, but I probably won't get the honors on Wikipedia.

You'll have to become famous or infamous first.

I heard a weird story yesterday about Romanians in the UK stealing chewing gum as a form of bartering tool back in Romania.

Is that a ridiculous story?

A bartering tool is a - Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge

For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia.

Make your voice heard

And I have no idea. Aren't we acting like a bad nation over there, anyway?

Barter is a method of exchange by which goods or services are directly exchanged for other goods or services without using a medium of exchange, such as money.[1] It is usually bilateral, but may be multilateral, and usually exists parallel to monetary systems in most developed countries, though to a very limited extent. Barter usually replaces money as the method of exchange in times of monetary crisis, such as when the currency may be either unstable (e.g., hyperinflation or deflationary spiral) or simply unavailable for conducting commerce.

I really want the load screen of Mass Effect as an animated gif.

It's a shame desktop images cannot be gifs.
