Strep throat or what? I'd say go pay a visit to your doctor if it weren't Saturday, but you could read about symptoms of things online and enhance your paranoia for the weekend.

Something that sounds insane but usually works for me: repeatedly gargle a mixture of hot water and cayenne pepper. It somehow alleviates the pain.
