Roman Bunka is such a sensitive musician ...

Roman Bunka is one of the greatest guitar players out there; Friede and I are big fans.

here a few videos, taken from the movie "Dein Kopf ist ein schlafendes Auto", with Roman Bunka on guitar and oud, Gerald Luciano Hartwig on bass and percussion, and the late Freddy Setz on drums and percussion: in one of the videos Edgar Hofmann plays soprano sax too.

(don't know what else to call it!), and London was ... probably a lot more intelligent and valuable in that they did not exactly ignore it, and I credit the likes of Melody Maker and their press with helping develop it all and give it some credibility ... the American version "Rolling Stone" was never about the music ... it was always about the star ... how Hollywood'ish this is!

But, again, Europe has hundreds of years of music history ... and study, and seeing it in the scope of it all, for me, is where its value lies ... and it is stronger than many well known "composers" of the 20th century and I say it's about time we give them credit for their work ... and all the bands that we love here, belong in that group, not just krautrock!

Yeah, this time, posting about it the way I did was not quite right ... but the intent was not to mis-interpret the comments or to mis-direct the readers and the appreciation of the music ... it was, actually, again, to elevate it. And I will always do that and continue to harp on that importance.

A Krautrock appreciation thread is not the place for this disucssion - perhaps in the coming weeks I will start a Blog where we can argue this at length (or you can - I'm not fussy).
