G'day folks, Wink

I'm new on this forum, so I thought that it would be nice to introduce myself.

I might say that I've just found this amazing 'place' on the net, but actually I know the forum thanks to a very active user here: AtomiCrimsonRush.
I met him by accident a couple of weeks ago, and we spent some great time talking about... music & prog!

I'm italian (sorry about my english guys), 26, and I live in Australia since 1year, after long time spent in UK and Belgium.
My dad made me grow with vinyls and good music instead of milk and candies.

Bands such as Area, Pink Floyd, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, PFM, King Crimson, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Perigeo, Goblin, Genesis, Yes, were part of my ideal day when I was a kid.
You might don't know some of those italian names though.

Pink Floyd and Steely Dan are my greatest love, but to me the music in general is more like a life philosophy..
I'm not really into hard-rock or heavy, but I also love classical, reggae, funk, blues and... jazz!
Plus I really like some japanese jazz-fusion artists.

I'm a drummer and I used to play with a Floyd-tribute band back in Italy.

Check this out:

I'm the one behind the set... Smile
I play mostly for passion, spacing from jazz, rock and funk.

I'm also deeply in love for high-fidelity plus the warm and rich analog sound... vinyls. Cool

Some of my favorite bands are also:

Karmakanic
Flower Kings (Roine Stolt)
Alan Parson's project
Radiohead (I might tell you some funny stories... I met Yorke in Oxford, UK. What a dude!)
Camel
Doors
Toto
Brian Eno
Spock's Beard
Porcupine Tree
Dave Matthews Band
Pendragon

I'd like to say hi to everyone with this tune from my collection of italian-prog:

Hope you guys like it! Wink

Thanks guys!

I can't wait to know some new stuff...
Even if it might be frustrating: I'd say a life is never enough to listen to all the music we love.
But yeah let's do our best!

W'come, no-longer-a-stranger. Your new symphonic team friend must be wondering now... "Are you following me, are you following me"

Wow thanks again for the big welcome!

I'm glad to be here, thanks guys.

@Angelo: what about your nickname? That's an italian name! :D Yep I like Marillion too, but in my opinion since when Fish left them, their style changed a bit too much. They have great stuff but... The favorites list is the favorites list!

@AtomicCrimsonRush: hey man, how are you doing? It's nice to see you up here... Glad you like Perigeo! Their music is rich of introspective and anxious moments. I love them!
Wow thanks for the links... I'm on my off day so I've got time to enjoy them one by one!
