Fair point. I should say they'd better change their ways or they'll have a bloody revolution on their hands. Although, I'd say they have a good 50% of the population under their spell, so we'd have to fight our way through the throngs of low-wage conservatives to get to the villains. |

I've actually changed my stance on gun ownership and think it's time we liberals arm ourselves to the teeth as well. If the only ones armed are the conservatives, we lose, whether it's a left-wing revolution or they come for us after the rise of a corporate fascist state. |

If you don't think there are some members of both our wealthy aristocracy and our government that are pushing us towards corporate fascism, you are crazy. |

The Koch Brothers, ALEC and the Savage Assault on Democracy"For the Koch brothers and their kind, less democracy is better. They fund campaigns with millions of dollars in checks that have helped elect the likes of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Ohio Governor John Kasich. And ALEC has made it clear, through its ambitious “Public Safety and Elections Task Force,” that while it wants to dismantle any barriers to corporate cash and billionaire bucks’ influencing elections, it wants very much to erect barriers to the primary tool that Americans who are not CEOs have to influence the politics and the government of the nation: voting." I think the sad thing is that you probably think that argument is compelling.

I don't know what you exactly mean by that question. Do I believe that corporations are people? No. Do I believe that people cede their rights when they act as a group? No.

No they are not people. And again, no people do not cede their rights when they act as a group.

Then do you believe any set of people forming a group should get a second set of rights as fictional people, or should their rights as individuals all be sufficient? Unions don't claim the right of being fictional people, corporations do. |

If you ask me a specific question I'll answer it. I'm not interesting in playing this game of vagueness where I agree to something I don't actually believe.

Why should people who make up corporations get special rights for their company when unions who are only unionizing to be able to stand up to the power of the corporations that they work for to get better treatment be deemed wrong? I'm sorry if I've oversimplified your point of view and actually do appreciate your nuances.
So anyway, George W. Bush great president or the greatest? Edited by Slartibartfast - December 10 2011 at 18:49 |

These people have been a nusance from day one and have been disrupting the lives of the so called "99%". Also depending where on the port facilities they are, its a security issue and they should be arrested and can be.
Since 911, most port facilities are high security areas only accesible by cleared personel, its like in an airport, there are certain places you just don't go.

They shouldn't. I've never said that they should. Huh? You do realize I despise Bush right? And every other president of the last 100 years? |
