SB is close enough to neo-prog to suffer collateral damage from the constant nukes launched at that type of music.
I don't understand Neo-Prog hate either. I like hardly any of it except for Marillion's debut and the latest two Pendragon which arent actually Neo anymore, but I have no idea why the style is so lambasted. You could say simplicity in the music I guess, but then the same ppl hating will go love the sh*t out of some post rock, so I dont get it.

I wish I could explain, but I don't get hating any type of music.  If stuff doesn't interest me, I ignore.

post-rock isn't overtly poppy, though.

I woke up at 5pm and I feel tired enough to go to bed now...

I like what I like because I like it, and I don't like everything else so I can have something to hate because hating is fun.

I smell like vegetable soup right now. I guess I'll put on some of my black girl lotion.

Have you ever heard Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, or Mogwai? I love EitS at least, don't get me wrong, but they all have a really strong indie pop undercurrent and indeed, all the indie pop hipsters/stoners love the sh*t out of them.

I meant mainstream pop. There's a pretty big difference between being borderline AOR and appealing to indie pop hipsters.

I'm trying to listen to Mogwai now. I'm always reminded of how boring and generic most post-rock is when compared to Mogwai.
