Honestly, I don't think Zappa was even that great of a composer. Almost all his music sounds essentially the same.

Well, if there was one album to brainwish me into a Zappa tolerant (at least), it was definitely Joe''s Garage.

That's probably why I'm so selective about his music. I do agree that most of his discography sound the same.

My problem with him is that each album comes close to wowing me. Each album is inches away from being great, but then - trouble afoot! He tries writing songs! He should've been a musical stand-up comedian. He should've travelled with George Carlin or the Monty Python crew and helped with their work.

Seeing as I won't go jogging anymore, I should probably finish that set of percussion works by Xenakis.

She's going to be so good once she gets about 30ish years old.

^She needs a real scathing trauma to whip her into artistry. Maybe the brutal murder of a relative, being beaten by a boyfriend - something to shatter the illusions.

I don't wish anything bad to happen to Taylor Swift. All she knows right now are teenage years, and she's writing about what she knows. There is nothing wrong with that.

There's nothing 'right' with it, either.
