Server Upgrade July/Aug (500 ERROR)

I see this sometimes too. 

When I get this, it's usually because of an error of mine, like using some special characters in the album title, or uploading a huge-size cover image. Sometimes it's unexplainable. See these threads for more occurences: Server bug again or Album & cover update bug or 500 error !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or server error , edit review ratings, etc.

I see I'm not the only one who PA's dead for tonight...I'll chime in too!

This morning the database works well.

I haven't been able to use the search and add YouTube videos tool for about six weeks now. I've tried everything - logging out & back in again, restarting the computer, even tried a completely different computer, but all to no avail. The preview of the video always works (and plays) fine, but as soon as I hit the 'add this video' tab, I get the same annoying error message referred to in this thread (500 - Internal Server Error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed) every time. Had no problem in the early part of 2011, when I added several vids for different bands, but now it's impossible for me to do it for any of them. Doesn't matter whether I try to add a comment in the box below, or just add the video as it is - it's a failure every time! The strange thing is, I keep seeing user-submitted video feeds all the time on facebook - so someone is managing it somehow. Any ideas anyone?

This internal server issue is nothing to do with IE8 (or IE9 which I am using) I don't think. I tried to upload a video tonight using Safari as my browser and exactly the same thing happened. One thing that happened with Safari though that I thought seemed strange when I logged into the forum was a small message box which appeared briefly while the log-in details were being processed saying "missing plug-in"...The log in was succesful however, but I wonder if this mysterious missing plug-in (I haven't seen the message when I log in to the forum using IE9 though) is anything to do with my inability to use the video upload tool?? Surely an internal server error message suggests a problem within PA itself though rather than anything to do with the computer trying to access the problematic resource?

I'm totally convinced that this isn't a general software issue.  My own particular problem with adding videos using the 'search and add YouTube videos' tool only started after I made a change to the account I use on here back in the summer. Prior to this, every video I added went through without a single hitch - and there were about 15 of them in all I guess, over a period of several weeks. Since that change, not one attempt has been succesful - and I have tried adding a selection of different videos on numerous occasions now. This is not a commonly reported problem, which it would be if there was anything actually wrong with the 'search and add' software, & therefore makes me think it is something connected with the setting up of actual account permissions in my own case, rather than a general sofware isssue. It is too much of a sudden transition from 100% success rate to 0% success rate for it to be an occasional software bug. The error message "500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed" is a non-specific error message that can caused by many different things - I just got exactly the same message displayed when I clicked on a link to a post of a duplicate album entry that had since been deleted by admin - if something isn't available (or isn't allowed, which I think is my own particular problem) you get this same standard page displayed. Hopefully someone with appropriate admin permissions will have a look at the way my account is set up, and just make sure that there isn't a block of some kind in place here. Thanks in advance.

This error is a very common error in any browser or it can show up in any operating system.
It shows  inside browser . Its a server problem that means some problems happening in server and server not able to recognize this error.In this problem you simply do first one thing just reload the web page  sometimes this error can be solved by only this technique.

Artist and album  pages are affected throughout the site now. This one needs resolving fast.

could you be a bit more specific, and indicate (or better, copy) the links that result in this error? We have 1000's of albums we can click on, but random clicks won't be useful in analysing and solving your problems. Thanks.
