Even if we started using it on PA it means 33,391 albums would have to be re-evaluated to see which genre suites them best.

All in a day's work. Cool  If we listened to each album for ~2.6 seconds, it would be possible!

what do you guys think of tagging albums with specific genre instead of band and whole discogs?

like Heritage as "progressive rock" and not "progressive metal" for example.

It's been one of my suggestions for years.  I don't think it'll ever get implemented.

OMG dont stole my ideas, I only get to have a few each year.

and I meant in the archives. I just notice Heritage in the MMA and IDK WTF is it doing there

If we listened to exactly 2.6 seconds of each album on PA, with no breaks between clips, it would take 24:06:56.6 to get through every album.

2.6 secs is too much, i can tell you what genre, influences and future explorations of the band with 1.03 seconds

That was really beautiful.  Are you a fan of Andy McKee, or Antoine Dufour, or any of the Candyrat guys?  I'll be seeing Andy McKee in a couple of weeks.

I don't even need to listen to some bands to know.  Nightwish for example.  Torman Maxt being another.  Frost* being a turd.

I've heard a little Andy Mckee. Not much though. I do need to hear more of this sort of stuff. Some amazing acoustic guitar stuff out there.

My spotify account has been blocked for some reason. Even though I still had 18 hours of free listening last time I was on there

How does the free listening time thing work?  I've always wondered that.  I have 7 hours 7 minutes left.  Does it eventually fizzle out and then I'm doomed forever?
