If you don't like DT, you probably won't like A Dramatic Turn of Events, but I think every fan of DT will like at least something about it

Robert Jordan.  Yep.

It was a big influence on David Gaider who conceived Dragon Age.

I need to read it eventually as I gather it's quite good for a fantasy fiction series.
