I actually don't like Magma much. I think their zeuhl contemporaries pull of that particular sound way better.

There are no Zeuhl counterparts.

Magma should be the only Zeuhl band. Wink

Yes, you're right: it's jazz-rock with copy/paste of huge sections of Stravinsky's works.

Only really Les Noces out of his works, from what I can tell.

There's a lot of other stuff in there though.  A huge Coltrane influence, of course.

I wonder what our Doctor of Post-Rock thinks of This Will Destroy You's self-titled, I quite like it. Was it Tanner saying their latest is great? Anyway, leaving that for tomorrow morning, tired completely.

What's the new RIO/Avant-prog band entry I saw on Facebook earlier like, Jon?

The French noise band.  I forget their name.

Dure-Mère, they're pretty cool and you can download their album for free (each track individually, but it's worth it IMO) here: http://www.dogmazic.net/static.php?op=musiqueIndex.php&album=16738+-+SANGRE&op=musiqueIndex.php&choice_user_language=english
