Holding  up publishing the next playlist. I'm hoping the new Battles album will be into today's post, so I can include a couple of tracks on this Thursday's show. Good review in Saturday's London Times - which worries me, as I don't often agree with their reviewers............

After last week's "rest", the show for 16th June will be 3 hours long - requests please. New Warren Haynes and Mr D & Mrs S Truck's albums should with me by then.

Rushing towards the end of another academic year, so only a few shows left. An eastern flavour this Thursday: so sampling fusions of music from east European, the Middle East, India. And one reason for the delay in publishing this list, I've been waiting receipt of the new Battles albums, (which Amazon duly delivered today), so two quickly snatched tracks to play for you. Also the new Tonbruket album - of which I have to admit I'm disappointed. Then something from the archives in the form of the early 70's German jazz rock of Toto Blanke (on vinyl) - suggestions of Isotope plus something else(???) (but a pity about the track title). Still catching up on a backlog of albums recently come me way, wso belatedly two from the KCCC release King Crimson in Chicago in 1995, sounding good and different from the original studio versions.

Next week's show (16th) will be 3 hours long - so any requests?

I lived 3 years in Bosnia - all summer around +35! But never liked such high temperature - it's good for week once per year in Halkidiki's beach, but can't work when so hot

Unfortunately no . Passed phone interview,Skype interview, test, visit Oxford University for final interview (never been in Oxford before) and just 10 days after return received the call they choose another guy.

It wouldn't be strange - normal competition, but the guy has just one (!) year work experience at all! No languages knowledge they wanted, no sound commercial experience (I spent 25 yrs in it), no project's region knowledge (their project is in Siberia).... They said his only strong side is better academic background (PhD from Oxford against my MSc from Vilnius).....   In places like SE Europe or Russia in that case people say " You don't need to know job, you need to know right people", but I never thought such things happen in England
