My favorite so far (I still have to listen to a lot of things including the new releases by Phideaux, Beardfish, Par Lindh, Mars Hollow, etc.):

Michael's Sonic Kaleidoscope Mondays 5:00pm EST(re-runs Thursdays 3:00pm) @ Delicious Agony Progressive Rock Radio(http://www.deliciousagony.com)

At this point in time Phideaux's "Snowtorch" out of the five or so albums I have heard so far.

Is the Battles album out yet??? I predict it will be up there for me.

Devin Townsend's Deconstruction is likely to be my album of the year. I've sampled most of it on youtube and it seems spectacular. Waiting for the pre-order CDs on June 20th to arrive to be able to accurately assess.

So the 2 DT albums, Battles, Symphony X, ??? Opeth or MA + SW project are all anticipated albums for me. Otherwise see my sig.

The Grayceon album is awesome.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Ask me again in 12 months, but I could almost give you a list for 2010 now Smile

I've heard most of the 2011 popular titles but it's all kind of meh.

I retain 2 titles so far:
Grails - Deep Politics (space-post-rock)
Obscura - Omnivium (prog-tech-death)

We're just in may but I think it will stay one of my favorites...

My vote for this one, too.

This finally tipped me over to buy the Grails album. First one of theirs for me. Listened on the commute in this morning. I'm liking it, definitely worth the money. I'm putting it in a temporary slot in the sig for now.

There were some tracks up on youtube which I checked out. I'm a little burnt on metal right at the moment. I may come back to it. I've been picking up alot more psych / kraut-y stuff lately so the Grails fit the bill. Obscura came up alot on my last.fm mixes about a year ago and I always liked them. They're on the list.

BTW, you can get one track off each of Devy's albums legit for free now.
