Enjoy.....you are in for a sonic and visual mind freak!

No kidding!  I went and saw them in Irvine (my first Rush show!) and I was just blown away!  The sound was just perfect since it was at an outdoor amphitheater and the videos that are played before and after the show are pretty funny and show their humorous side.  All around an awesome experience and by far my favorite concert I've ever been to. Big smile

I was at that show, and it was my first Rush show too! Big smile

Great concert. Although my seats were kind of crappy (far east side) but pretty awesome, nonetheless.

I'm going to see them again on June 20th at the Gibson Ampitheatre in LA Tongue

Will you be attending?

I've got tickets to the June 18th show in San Diego.  I'm taking a friend of mine who is a newer Rush fan, AND he's never even been to a concert before, so this will be a mindblowing experience for him!

Two great videos. First is Alex explaining all his stage equipment on the current Time Machine Tour....very in depth and well done.
Second is Alex's guitar tech explaining in much more depth.
Enjoy...

Very informative. Gives me the desire to become a guitarist. My favorite part is  when he talks about how much he likes keyboard...

Me too. though it was a few months ago now.
The ticket price was just too much for my limited gig budget.

Still , looking forward to the new album next spring.

Is it possible to organise an online petition asking the band not to release any more compilation albums ? Icon 2 is out now. A rehash of several rehashes and a pretty bad devaluation of my favorite band's reputation.

Please stop the madness........ now !

I think the music industry treat us like idiots with all this compilation stuff, not only for Rush. I don't know how they can make money with bands that are in the business for decades. Today it'ss so easy to do our own compilation. They must be thinking that there is another bunch of fans that don't know these bands, i presume young people.

So do I - in fact I have two kids, but you don't see me putting out endless combinatorics of my back catalog.

Question: Is it being issued on RoadRunner? Maybe they are cash strapped and need a few bucks to tide them over....

Does the band have anything to do with the release of Icon, or is this just a label money grab?  Just curious.

I agree in this....I suspect its part of any band contract to allow the label to release Greatest Hits/Compilations without too much restriction from the band.......money grab.

I guess that this is appropriate.  On a link on the band's webpage promoting Icon2 is a link to a small interview with Geddy included in the CostCo Connection newsletter.  http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/201109#pg55

Yeah I remember hearing schizoid man and watcher of the skies at the rush concert I went to in June.
