Apologies for the non-broadcast via the web for 85 minutes last night. I keep nagging the management (bloody students) to provide quality with consistent radio broadcasting - and its happens far too slowly. However, one of the engineers showed me a secret to rebooting the webcast last night, although I'm still largely reliant on listener feedback wrt broadcast faults. Rumour has it the management have decided on a radiothon at the end of this month, so there is a risk I'll eithe r have no show or a reduced length of show that Thursday.
 
Good news a full recording was made of last night's show, and probably be included with other MP3 versions of show recordings burnt onto DVD disc.

After a difficult return to the airwaves last week* a sincere hope all is fixed now. We continue checking out what is new, so more from the excellent 'Nocturnal' album by Chris Taylor and Nguyen Le's 'Songs of Freedom'. Our friends in the USA continue to be supportive, with  NYC's Jeneen Terrana lettting us into her new folk flavoured album  'I See The Light'. Hugh Laurie's new album of jazz blues is a very pleasant surpise, so more of that. A continuation of disappointments is Finno-Swedish band Stratovarius's newie, but found something half decent from the newie 'Elysian' - but I'll remind you how good Stratovarius's Jens Johansson can sound. So about 45% jazz-based music and then expect anything




*Coincentally my daughter Ally Heath reports on Facebook, ALMOST suffering technical problems on her radio show 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' on University Of London's RHC station Radio Insanity, same day at 4pm to 6pm - btw if you're into Brit Pop give this a whirl.
