Remember the clocks in the UK went forward last Sunday and we are now in British Summer Time (BST) - isn't that is usually a week before clocks go forward in North America? This is also the last show before the university's Easter break for 4 weeks, so a chance for me to catch up on a backlog of old and new albums that have recently come me way. Last week gots some great feedback on the Unthanks - especially their take on Krimon's Starless - so a long one this week. And tucked in there,  a taster from the forthcoming Hiromi album - with Simon Philips & Anthony Jackson providing her rhythm section. In the meanwhile, the number of  albums based on a 50 minute drum solo by Marco Minnemann, increases  - so cuts from Mike Keneally and Phi Yaan-Zek collaborations. And then a chance to sample what they've done to Tommy Bolin's 36 year old album Teaser, with remastering and the extra tracks.

Hi Dick.  Great to see you're giving a couple of tracks from the album an airing.  To avoid confusion, it's 'Al', not 'Alan'!
Looking forward to the show.

Thanks, I'm well.

You will have longer break now, so who knows how all devices will work after it again

I saw on news you have extremely warm weather, almost summer!? We still have some snow around and it even snowing time to time, fortunately the weather report is really optimistic for this weekend, even till +14C at Sunday! Hope it will come spring at last!

On Fat Albert Rotunda Hancock started his some early r'n'b and funk experiments, I really like his pre-fusion post bop albums, pure jazz but of great quality

Chilled down with the damp coming in - we needed the rain to be honest (but not the chill). Rumours have it will be summery this weekend - hit 18C today but I was 120 km further south on business.

I'm still not sure about theBolin reissue/remaster - the original recording was 43 minutes long this is 72 and it probably has got too slack. However, now hear some of the trimmings I missed on the original. I do think the mix now has made it too heavy - so still will recommend the original mix and the 43 min length.  . At least one new addition is extremely lightweightand only tolerable because fo Sanborn's presence - Bolin is probably in a drugged noodling state for that. It only hasa couple of jazz rock tune - Marching Powder still works well - and a good arrangement
