I am always coming back to Zappa, I just found the first volume of a Book trilogy about Zappa in French by Christophe Delbrouck, the occasion to pull out some records while reading.....

Not done it for sometime so felt I ought to have an 'electronica' (for want of a better term) special - while avoiding the obvious of Jean Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream (but an associated label is featured), and including a longish burst of Kraftwerk's 'Autobahn' - a band acknowledged by their label as being originally being discovered and promoted by this radio station before all others some 36 years ago!!  (But what have I've done with that Tonto's Expanding Headband album????). Plus the usual eclectic mix of interesting stuff: new and from the archives. And as you've all realised, we are certainly back to the jazzy 30 minutes opening the show.

Better don't ask - last two weeks we have -20C by nights and -10C daytime day after day. My car doesn't work for few days - I expect it was a moisture somewhere in fuel line,it frozen, just waiting for warmer time to come. Same weather report for few nearest days - such weather is around 10 degrees below statistic norm there.

Good evening Dick. It's cold and damp here too. Wales is mainly damp. It's a characteristic.

We're warming up although some snow north of the country last week. rumour has it 'll relatively warm but damp over the weekend - chance to catch on a backlog of promos.

It's difficult to classify Waits' music -genre for itself, but I really like that atmosphere (coming from beatniks of 50s?)
