@ Misomex777 Yes, yu're right, they are Prog Related albums, but there's not an option for a poll topic at Proto Prog / Prog Related subforum. Don't worry, the moderators will move the poll there.

Both classic albums but overall PG has the better songs and the most variety.

Without a shadow of a doubt Quadrophenia...
PG is a snoozefest, interrupted by loud Page-esque grunts

I can happily sit through Quad and then play it again because of a high quality consistency of almost everything rock music-wise, IMHO. Never been able to do that with PG, although several major tunes there ......alas sitting amongst some mediocre.

I cannot vote...I saw the post this morning and since then I just cannot do it. Both are epic, monster albums in my catalog. Each has its own ups and downs....and to me they cancel out.
I just can't pull the trigger.....

They're not? The bands themselves certainly wouldn't be labelled "prog-rock"performers; however, the albums themselves are very progressive. Quadrophenia is an extremely complex concept album, and the song "Lover Reign O'er Me" is the epitome of a prog-rock opus, with synth orchestration and varying time signatures (I don't see much difference between this and, say, The Wall as far as compositional content) . Physical Graffiti features extended instumentals and lengthier songs than the average Zeppelin album, and the influences run from funk to blues to country to Middle-eastern music. Can you actually say "Kashmir" is not progressive?
But then I believe the term "progressive" denotes a frame of reference for specific compositions, and not necessarily for entire albums. Not every song on an album from Genesis, Tull, ELP, King Crimson or Pink Floyd are what could be termed "progressive". Nevertheless we tag the bands as such. The need to stratify and delineate each band and place them neatly into convenient little categorical boxes gets a bit overzealous at times.
