Yeah, it's ridiculously hard to make out some of his fingerings. Such a crazy guitarist.

The tapping in the second track is so much win live.

True, Can is definitely one of the best ways into krautrock. I don't like krautrock myself, but I can definitely understand why so many people like it.

Also, Amon Düül II is another interesting way in.

will take note, although there's no way i can get new music until, maybe jan or feb next year Ermm

and i have a little list of things to try:

Eloy <= OMG I LOVE THIS BAND! if you can get over Bonermann's accent, that's one of the best progressive rock bands on the face of the earth
Godspeed You! Black Emperor <= meh, it is a hit or miss band. MIss in my case, unfortunately

Frogg Cafe <= pretty good, though I have only tried their latest album
