I don't want to argue about the Kepler/Galileo thing. As stated before I'm not an expert in Physics (I feel much more confident on the Darwin discussion). But I don't think Galileo's renown comes from opposing the church (something he was terrified to do), but rather from some serious scientific work. Although on a second thought we have to remember that the greatest scientific cheater in history is really famous and respected: anybody heard of a monk named Mendel?

Anyway, as a tribute to Galileo, I have included a signature, that contains one of the most beautiful chants to human dignity ever pronounced by a human being... and since I'm drinking a cup of a good Spanish wine: here's to you, Mr. Galileo!

The funny thing is.

The scientific theories can be interpreted within a religious concept, The religious theories are in disaccord with scientific proof

Tuxon:

Excellent observation!    Indeed, I have always said that the Judeo-Christian Construct has room for both the a-theist scientific and neuro-psychological constructs, while the a-theist scientific and neuro-psychological constructs have little or no room for the Judeo-Christian Construct.

Peace.

Do we mean the same here

I actually said the opposite I think

I ment, that scientific research and theories concerning, men's place in the universe, creation of the Universe (Big Bang Theorie, snare theorie and all that crap), can be right and maybe even scientifically proven, without it being in the way of religious idea's and believes. Even if it's proven there was a Big Bang, there's still room for a religious interpretation (God made it happen, and created the right conditions for it to happen, and even setting the conditions for all evolving events to happen according His will)

However some Religious theories concerning the same issues leave no room for the unexpected, like people really understand God's intend.

Basically I find it offensive when people claim to understand God's will, and denounce something that's (almost) scientifically proven, because it doesn't fit their interpretation of how God intended things.

All theories are man-made, as the Bible is man-written. To interpret is one, to understand is two, to fully comprehend is only for God

don't know if it makes sense

It does but it holds no regard to the position the Bible isn't really man-written according to the Judeo-Christian 'construct'.
Epic.

JrKASperov:

Well...to be truly accurate, the Scripture is "man-written," but it is "God-inspired."

Peace.

Just an unimportant addition from me: the Scripture is "man-written" and "man-said that it was god-inspired" Am I right?
