I don't really know the full details but I believe the idea is for the parents to run the school. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_school_%28England%29 |

Learning science is quite important (as the scientific method, formulas, and the like are concerned- not indoctrination). This is precisely where the private sector comes in and you can hire and a tutor (or tutors) to teach the subject(s) you would not want to teach. You get to choose a tutor rather than depending on the state to educate your child. |

I'm going to write a book on my flogging idea as soon as I am feeling energetic enough to undertake the research. I hate doing research... I can hear the hate mail already. Anyway, when I run for office I intend to go for something uncontested to get my foot in the door. Then let's see them try to stop me! |

We run as say nothing moderates...when we are all in...go total nutcase. Make those 2 years we exist in office something that America has never seen before. Unless we all manage Senate, then we can be unprecedented headaches for 6 years! Edited by JJLehto - December 03 2010 at 21:04 |

That crazy socialist b*****d!
But I've griped about the "war by the rich against the poor" and shrinking middle class and highest earners earning too much and all that jazz. I've said before most of what he's said.... Guess I'm crazy too! |

Hey, I recognize that guy, It's Bernie Sanders. You punks want to check out what a real US socialist is? http://sanders.senate.gov/ Excellent speech by Mr. Sanders, made with more than enough due respect to those who are destroying this country for their own profit. Blood sucking leeches. Parasites getting close to killing the hosts. Don't ask me why, but I thought this would be a good place to post this: Edited by Slartibartfast - December 05 2010 at 06:07 |

And yes Slarti, Sanders is an ACTUAL socialist.
I guess since he's in Vermont no one really knows about him But he would probably scare the daylights out of tea partiers! As would Dennis Kucinich! That crazy munchkin. |

Sexist though this may be, Dennis has a really hot wife. One of our better representatives. He grew up in a poor family which sets him apart from most of the congress. Edited by Slartibartfast - December 05 2010 at 05:48 |

I liked Dennis until he sold his principles for a ride on Air Force One.

How does the libertarian thread feel about this? The WSJ commenters are on their high horses, as usual, but as far as I'm concerned she's practically an American hero. I have no sympathy for the bank losing money on this because if you screw up the paperwork, the bank will happily destroy you. So if they screw up the paperwork they don't suddenly get to pretend that it's not a big deal. She managed to, by herself, turn against them a system that's designed to confuse and entrap ordinary people.
However, it's really sketchy that the windows are boarded up in the picture, so maybe there's more to this story than the reporter is willing to tell us, this version got her on the front page and everything.

What's up with your links Henry? My office computer doesn't want to open any of them.
I'm against in banks in general. If they're sloppy with their paper work, then they should face the consequences. |

Soooo Bama is, after all, going to let the Bush tax cuts expire.
Huzzah for the continuing let down! (Even though deep down we all knew...) |
