What worries me is that such a minor issue is indeed making a three page thread, when it shouldn't have gone past Angelo and Jody's responses halfway down that first page...Confused

There is some validity in the polls I have noted, i mean the more serious polls. Whats wrong with taking them seriously

Has someone made a poll yet about the new voting restrictions for newbies?
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I know, some (many) people here are more concerned with high post counts than the contents of the posts they publish....

I'm also concerned with my post count.... it's growing way too quick to my taste... makes me look like I need to find myself a lifeEmbarrassedLOL

Apparently, it's more important tyring to make a point that is not a point than to move on, for some of you.
I think im making a valid point - you dont. No more to it than that.
Prog is whatevey you want it to be. So dont diss other peoples prog, and they wont diss yours

Apparently, this was M@X's decision directly, which I wasn't aware of when I first started debating the matter. It was only via PM that I was told this.

Basically, it's M@X's site, so he can do as he wishes. Which makes perfect sense. We probably won't be seeing this rule lifted any time soon. Had I known it was the site owner's own choice to put the rule in place, I wouldn't have even bothered playing devil's advocate in this case. It's led to a lot of animosity towards me in particular, which is a shame. But that's the way it goes.

Anyway, the only other thing I will add is that to those users who have contacted me as well as voiced your opinions in this thread, if you feel strongly enough about your reasons against the rule, perhaps you could contact M@X directly via PM. He's always been quite nice to me in such cases, and he'll probably take your position into consideration. Smile

Not sure why I would fight you over it. I don't even really know what you meant by the statement.

From your former very vocal position to your new position is a climb down in my book. I will delete it if you want. It's hardly worthwhile anyway if you didn't understand it. Obviously i wasn't being as sardonic as I thought.

Oh, that. Well, being stripped of your 'Collaborator' position will do that to a person. My opinion obviously amounts to nothing much LOL

By the way, if you people haven't figured it out already, I don't take the polls seriously, but I admit I am seriously nuts. Tongue
