No, they aren't. It happens sometimes, not sure why. ProgFreak problem I assume. And Colin, I figured it probably would be boring when I heard it was coming out. I still like Stanley Clarke's stuff and I still kind of like Marcus Miller's stuff and now I don't really like Victor's stuff, so I figured I'd probably end up disliking the album and didn't get it. |

Wait, the teachers actually care if you have the most recent edition? Usually teachers here come right out and tell us to get older editions if we can. |

It totally depends with mine. Most usually are okay with older editions, but I've noticed that's becoming less and less common with higher level classes. Edited by horsewithteeth11 - August 30 2010 at 20:32 |

they tell us "do questions 2,5,7,9,10,25 etc." Wrong edition = fail homework = flunk course = waste thousands of $ Edited by Triceratopsoil - August 30 2010 at 20:33 |

I'm in the same situation for my math class. |

What's really crazy are the people who want to major in biomedical engineering. It seems like you pretty much have to learn all of EE, pre-med, and biochemistry. How can you keep knowledge of three highly technical fields in your head at once? Maybe I'm just dumb.

Yes, but that only applies for math and some engineering and business classes. Except all my business classes now pretty much require you to use math, so it doesn't really affect me. Although my Stats book is a custom edition and doesn't include the first chapter we're studying. LOLWUT?! |

Ah, OK. Most of my teachers make up their own homework problems now, so I don't have to worry about that. |

The dumb thing would be trying to do biomedical engineering for the pre-med course to try and get into med school. You don't actually qualify with the main required courses in biomed to get into med school, when, surprisingly, you can get into med school with the requirements for chemical engineering.

Haha, wtf. I thought pre-med was the only way into med school. If anything, I would think you'd be able to get out of pre-law, not pre-med.
Yeah, I spent about $800 on books this semester too. Such is life. They actually check homework, though? None of technical classes here have any required homework, and even when I was at a real school, they didn't check homework for my Statistics class. I thought once you got into college nobody had time for that and if you fail because you ignored the homework, tough sh*t. |

One of my physics major friends is going for med school. He has to take some bio classes and such, but not very many. Also: Woohoo, my semester bill is finally paid! |

In my Stats class over the summer, the teacher checked homework but only for completion. Actually, except for Finite Math, every math class I've had in college has been like that with homework.

No, what I was saying was that the course requirements for solely biomed aren't enough to qualify for med school, when you actually can qualify with a chemical engineering degree.
This eliminated any respect I may have had for the Wu-Tang clan, possibly the only good rap group.

Did you pay it before they started adding fees? Mine is always due the week before the semester starts, and if you wait longer than that, they start making you pay more. |
