Remission is the first, Leviathan the second. There's very little prog on Remission indeed, but some great metal tracks anyway.

Leviathan was the second album.  Remission was first.

Remission is probably my favorite Mastodon album.  It's very fast and very heavy, but there's enough prog in there to keep progheads happy.
