I have suggested a band for MMA and gotten it included from the Shred Room. Tongue It's ZART lite anyway, or at least used to be.

Well the biggest problem is that once this page of the Shred is past, people won't ever see the suggestion again.  Idunno what the speed is of the Shred over at MMA, but I'm guessing it's not as breakneck fast there as it is here sometimes.

Also, when I saw Primus they didn't have an opening band, they just played two sets.

Sounds good.  I'd listen now but I don't like interrupting albums to check stuff out.

The Dead Kenny G's and Gogol toured on and off with them, sometimes both were there, sometimes neither.  Gogol wasn't there for our show.

is that smooth jazz?
I thought that "smooth" was like regular jazz? opposed to more free/avant stuff

I figured Kenny G was pop?

Gogol?

Gogol Bordello? Doesn't sounds right up the same alley...

Smooth jazz is a genre of its own, and I really haven't looked into it, I just know it's not for me.

Indeed, Gogol Bordello.  The only thing they have in common is being kinda weird.

No, Kenny G's type of stuff is "smooth jazz".  I'm guessing what you consider regular jazz is stuff like Miles Davis' pre-fusion stuff (cool jazz, etc) or earlier.

I like smooth jazz.  Even if it isn't that good it's simple, feel-good stuff.  Like post-rock.
