Oh, I am pretty sure I didn't do that either, I don't remember. I can't even remember my scores on the ACT.

I never did any SAT My 5 came from the third essay, which I totally raped by writing about Ferlinghetti's Routines I said the Statue of Liberty was a character EDIT: well I did amazing at everything else too, but that one was by far the best. my English techer would have crapped her pants if she could have read it Oh, I got a 4 for French Language/Comp too Hey wait a second are you suggesting your intelligence far out-strips mine? Just because I put no thought into things I write on some forum doesn't mean I'm not brilliant. Edited by Triceratopsoil - August 23 2010 at 20:37 |

with AP tests I think a 5 is 94% or something, a 4 is around 86%, and nothing else matters because you can't use it as University credit unless you go to a really crappy school It's on a scale though, so if everyone sucks but you suck less you can get a 5. I think with the calc AB test something like a 60% or higher gave you a 5 last year on my calc test I left 2 of the 6 written questions blank and still got a 5. I may have gotten 100% on MC component, though Edited by Triceratopsoil - August 23 2010 at 20:39 |

Ok. On my History scholarship paper, we just had to write an essay on our topic (mine was Tudor England) and I managed to get 15/20, which was good enough. On the English paper, we had to write three essays, two of mine got 8/10 and the third was only 6/10, but evidently, that was still high in the overall percentile. I screwed my Classics exam up though, one brilliant answer, the other was horrid.
Pretty much any University in NZ will let you in if you got a scholarship in anything. Heck, university entrance in NZ is a joke anyway. The standards are far too lax. |

They're fairly lax here too, but you'll just flunk out first year if you're dumb

I guess entrance all depends here..
Some local schools near me I can't believe who got in... Bigger/more prestigious are a lil more selective Ivy League = old money or bye bye |

you would know everyone in North America has to write the test at the same time, with a supervising proctor, to prevent cheating or something |

It's a percentile thing. This seems more or less accurate.
No, I would be sad if you were more intelligent than me.
I'm using a school computer, and holy sh*t this is running IE6, wtf. I want to install IE8 at least but you need an admin account to install anything. |

Im sure he was...but if you're not old money I have no idea how you get in. Someone in my class scored 1590 (out of 1600) on the SAT, top 5 in class, GPA over 4.0 Requested NO financial aid at all. Was denied to Harvard. He was real bummed about having to "only" go to Columbia... a****le Which brings me to my other RAGE. All sheep that go along with GPA/ test score/school BS I have no doubt PSU or W&M or Rutgers is as fine as Harvard and actually affordable... Edited by JJLehto - August 23 2010 at 20:54 |
