Hi Joel.

I still haven't listened to Toby Driver's solo album, just like when I first got CotE. Embarrassed

I honestly put off listening to Toby's solo album for 4 months minimum, even as the fanboy that I am. Make sure you sit in the dark and listen to it for the first time, with full focus, the reason I put it off for so long was waiting for a time when I could give it full attention. That album is so f**king scary and so beautiful at the same time I was honestly shivering during parts. It's such an amazing album, even as a TD fanboy it blows me away every time, especially Brown Light Upon Us and Eptaceros.

Ooh, you're making me eager to listen to it now. I might do it sometime next week, when I've got the whole house for myself so I can play it loud at night.

YES! Do it. Listen to it at a slightly higher than comfortable volume, it's such an intense disc. The last few minutes of Kandu Vs. Corcy literally send shivers up my spine every single time. Make sure it's the first time you listen to it as well

You might also like Tartar Lamb, although it's a much, much slower disc of essentially classical music. Still great though. Not at all dark/dissonant when compared with his solo, though.

Also, that video is hilarious, especially when the magician eats the fetus. I don't even know why

Yeah, I might check out Tartar Lamb sometime.

These days I'm listening a lot to this:

My friend burnt me the A Quick Fix Of Melancholy EP a few weeks ago, I haven't got around to listening to it yet. Everything from them sounds pretty good from the samples.

What town is it?

I haven't really listened much to Ulver other than their first two albums and some samples from their third. Folk + black metal is a big win though.
