I was expecting it to be more abrasive, like Albert Ayler. It's not even as weird as some free improv I've listened to.

Me too! For the moment, and not so much metal.

At least tomorrow I can record some guitar/drums! Also take more pretentious pics of me in the woods. My narcissism can't be quenched!

Well I hate to cut this short, but I suppose I should try to get a decent night's rest tonight before the first day of classes. I doubt any of mine will be short/introductory days tomorrow. Seeya tomorrow!

This is for David as well. I love them! Im a bit of a fanboy. But really they are great. Divine Wings and The Odyssey are brilliant

Wait, he still is one?

Err...oh? Did he step down from the crossover team then?

Ah, OK. Have you listened to them much
yet or are they a new addition? I've bought their box set since you
were away, actually. Still only own two of their four studio albums
though.
| I have all 4 of their studio albums downloaded. Not really a
band that amazed me, but I have found some re-visits to music that
didn't previously wow me have a better effect than the initial attempts,
so we will see. |
Yeah, I've had bands like that too. Well hopefully they turn out that way for you too (at least Legend and Unrest, since those two are their best studio efforts IMO ).

Which Popol Vuh album? I only have Hosianna Mantra and I'm looking for recommendations.
|
I'm on Aguirre right now, but it's the first time I hear it. Very ambient, but so far, I don't hate it like I usually hate ambient.
But, speaking of MrFirmTush, he acquired Letzte Tage (at Ameoba, incidently) and hasn't been able to stop listening to it since, so I'm assuming it's good.
|
Alright, cool. I'll have to check that one out. I think I need to start evening out my collection again, my RIO/Avant/Zeuhl to Krautrock ratio is way off after this summer. I'm thinking I'll work mainly on Krautrock expansions this school year.
