Because of the exhorbitant costs, people want to know everything before they go and there are many organizations that rank colleges by every possible metric.

I wonder how many students make their choice based on "partiness"...

I wholeheartedly agree with this.

New CDs at Best Buy are $13-16. Pretty ridiculous.

At the major CD chain here (JB HiFi) new CD's are 25-30AUD for the standard jewel case albums, I try to use the smaller record store here when I can but they usually never have what I'm looking for. Pain Of Salvation's Road Salt is 35$ in store for the standard jewel case album; ridiculous.

Most of them.  Then their parents find out and send them to a Christian Uni that sucks the life out of you.

WHAT!?
Most CD's at my record store are $14-16
Sometimes I luck out....but of course sometimes they push 20.
Also I guess Magma releases only in France and we have to import?
I hope so...because all their CD's are $21+

I am not, no. I'll join right now, though, in fact.

That's not ridiculous.  PoS suck.  It makes sense to sell their sh*tty albums at exorbitant prices.

Yeah, even though that's AUD it's still absolutely insane. Occasionally I'll get something for a good price but that's rarer and rarer.

What? $13 is a good price for CDs. I won't pay more than $16 unless it's rare or imported, but you can only do better than $13 that when you're getting some obscure small label or something.

Loggins & Messina - Full Sail

I've never heard it but Stonie calls it Yacht Rock and so I automatically hate it. LOL

Hi Jordan!

And it kind of just never dawned on me to become a member, James, I don't know why. Confused
Probably because my internet is sh*t.
