Creation's End is very excited to sign a Worldwide deal for our upcoming debut album "A New Beginning" wth Sensory Records. After hearing many wonderful things about the label over the years there was no hesitation to become part of the Sensory family. A label that has released such great bands as Zero Hour, Spiral Architect, Circus Maximus and more must be the perfect fit for us, so we're thrilled to take this next step.

The official release date will be announced soon, but from what we know so far it looks like it will be a November release.

MANTICORA to release 7th full length album in September!

Longstanding Danish metal band MANTICORA have completed the recordings of their 7th full length album, “Safe”, at Jailhouse Studios, once again produced and mixed under the guiding hands of Tommy Hansen (known for Jorn Lande, Helloween, Pretty Maids a.o.).

Following the successful two-part “Black Circus” albums (released in 2006 and 2007 on now defunct Locomotive Music), “Safe” will see the band exploring a darker and heavier side of their songwriting than in recent years, and contrary to the simplicity of the album cover (a black/white cover only showcasing the band-symbol) “Safe” is filled with high-octane technical power-thrash.

The songs on “Safe”, including the 14 minute long title track (Manticora’s longest song to date):

1. In The Abyss Of Desperation
2. Silence The Freedom
3. Complete
4. From The Pain Of Loss ( I Learned About The Truth)
5. A Lake That Drained
6. Carrion Eaters
7. Safe
8. Embryonic Man (bonus track Japan)

Upon renewing their deal for Japan with Stay Gold / Art Union Records for the release of the album, Manticora have signed with US based label Nightmare Records for the rest of the World. The releases in Europe and North America have been set for September 20th and 21st respectively.

Also, Manticora has signed with Burrn! Music / Shinko Music Publishing for sub-publishing in Japan and with Enorm Music for sub-publishing in the rest of the World.

In September 2010 Manticora will embark on a headliner tour, presented by Rock Hard Magazine, throughout Europe. Support on the tour will come from Norwegian power/prog band Divided Multitude.

The dates confirmed so far (more to follow):
September 24 2010 - Markthalle, Hamburg, Germany
September 25 2010 - Turock, Essen, Germany
October 01 2010 - b*****d Club, Osnabrueck, Germany
October 02 2010 - The Rock Temple, Kerkrade, Holland
October 03 2010 - De Pul, Uden, Holland
October 04 2010 - Nouveau Casino, Paris, France
October 08 2010 - EventStage, Zizers, Switzerland
October 09 2010 – Mephisto Club, Alessandria, Italy
October 11 2010 - Spinnerei, Traun, Austria
October 12 2010 - Reigen, Wien, Austria
October 13 2010 - Randal Club, Bratislava, Slovakia
October 14 2010 - Crazy Mama, Budapest, Hungary
October 29 2010 - The Rock, Copenhagen, Denmark

Recordings for our new, yet untiltled album will start on September, 10th.
The album will contain nine songs plus intro and we want to fit the popular cliché and affirm hereby, that it will be the heaviest LANFEAR-album to date.

Of course we know that every band tells the same on their new material. Since we never did so, it seems as if you can really trust us.
We'd never lie to you...

More details as soon as we know them!

Kamelot

Knife Fight Media is proud to announce that American/Norwegian metallers KAMELOT have formed the recording label Kamelot Media Group (KMG Recordings). Teaming up with DisManic Distribution via E1 and the brand marketing and promotions company Knife Fight Media, the premier KMG label release will be the North American debut of KAMELOT’S highly anticipated 9th studio album, “Poetry For The Poisoned”, on September 14, 2010.

KAMELOT is one of metal’s most unique, influential and prestigious acts to come along in decades. The formation of KMG Recordings seems a natural progression for the group. Guitarist Thomas Youngblood states, "We are in a very unique and fast changing era for the music world; I am very excited about the new venture of KMG in North America. We have a team of experienced and passionate people working with us on this new release, which will be another step for Kamelot and our fans." KMG Recordings turned to Gunter Ford, music veteran and founder of World Entertainment inc. and Knife Fight Media, who worked with them on their “Ghost Opera” and “The Black Halo” releases, to oversee and manage the new label. Gunter adds, “In these changing times, Knife Fight Media was created in order to provide marketing, promotion, product development and label management services for artists and labels in need of maximizing their Brand in a fast changing and challenging landscape of the North American Music Industry. I believe the “Kamelot Brand” is one of the leaders in its genre. I will be working closely with Thomas Youngblood, Roy Khan, DisManic and the Knife Fight Media team around this fantastic new release to grow “Poetry For The Poisoned” even beyond the level of success we experienced with their previous releases in North America.”

KAMELOT’s reputation among fans and media alike is marked by enthusiasm as well as esteem, with each of their eight studio albums surpassing its predecessor in terms of songwriting, production and commercial results. “Poetry for the Poisoned” promises to be the band’s most insightful and ambitious album to date.

“Poetry For The Poisoned”was recorded at Gate Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany with producers Sascha Paeth and Miro and features guest appearances by Simone Simons (EPICA), Gus G. (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIREWIND), Björn “Speed” Strid (SOILWORK) and Jon Oliva (SAVATAGE, JON OLIVA’S PAIN).

“Poetry for the Poisoned” will be available in three versions (Regular CD edition, Digipak CD with bonus DVD and 2LP gatefold vinyl edition). After a long period of mystery, ANGRA has announced the official title of its seventh full length: “Aqua”. It will be the first material released in the last four years and after the return of the drummer Ricardo Confessori to the band.

“Aqua” is a Latin word and means “water” in English. It represents the unique style that presented ANGRA to the world. Its incredible ability in mixing various music genres, transcending from Classical to Metal, Folklore to Modern, Pop to Experimental, has an unquestionable relevance nowadays and it is described in each detail of the new work.

The experience of great musicians like Eduardo Falaschi (singer), Rafael Bittencourt and Kiko Loureiro (guitar players), Felipe Andreoli (bassist) and Ricardo Confessori (drummer) is one of the characteristics easily heard after an initial audition of “Aqua”. Artists who reached a higher level in an important moment of their careers and united the perfect way of playing, good sounds, conscious experimentalism joined to attractive themes.

The concept and the musical atmospheres of this new record, as well as the main classics of ANGRA discography are based on a rich and involving history. The whole composition of the album was directly inspired by “The Tempest” – the last play written by William Shakespeare and shown here through an epic vision compared to its dark side. “We really dedicated ourselves to the last work of Shakespeare to create “Aqua”. Besides all the qualities of the text, we founded out that the element “water” is one of the main characters of the history. It transforms itself during the cycles and changes the things around. It represents the rage of high tides and tempests, and then the forgiveness and wisdom in calm. Everything happens after a violent storm that occurs in the sea, in an island hill. While the wild waters come from up and down, a ship and the entire crew are fighting for surviving. As from this point, we developed one very interesting narrative that will get the attention of the listeners”, said the guitarist Rafael Bittencourt.

“Aqua” was produced by a new team that confirms the actual renovation purpose of the band. The album was entirely arranged by the musicians, co-produced and mixed by Brendan Duffey and Adriano Daga, from Norcal Studios, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering Studios, in California (EUA).

The art concept was created by the renowned Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes supervised by Rafael Bittencourt and Kiko Loureiro. “We have been worked with Isabel de Amorim since the “Fireworks” album so we wanted to change the artistic style in this new CD and the work made by Gustavo Sazes was exactly what we were looking for. Actually he is already our website designer and it was a natural choice”, said Kiko Loureiro.

“Aqua” will be released in Japan on July 31st by JVC/Victor and will be distributed in Europe by SPV/Steamhammer afterwards. In Brazil it will be self-financed and released on August 17th. “We need to have a support for the international market and the SPV and JVC have always been done an excellent work related to the promotion of our last records. But in Brazil we will make it different this time. It will be self-financed so that we can control everything referred to the CD”, said the vocalist Edu Falaschi.

After “Aqua” is officially released, ANGRA will start a new world tour. Contact Base2 Management by phone (+55.11.3673-2758) or e-mail ([email protected]) to book a concert in your city.

Therion

“We are sad to confirm that Snowy Shaw has suddenly decided to not do any of the upcoming shows with THERION. This decision took us by surprise, because, up to now, we have had a great collaboration. The reason is simply that he has been working on an album with another big band (as a bass player - that came as a surprise too!), who have now offered him a deal he felt he could not refuse. We don't think this is a good decision, but accept the situation and wish him good luck.

“We realize many will miss Snowy, who did a great job during the more theatrical direction THERION took during the Gothic Kabbalah era (as well as on the coming album, Sitra Ahra). Like all the other close guest collaborators in the history of the band (Mats Levén, Andy "the bald guy" Engberg, Karin Fjellander, Sara Jezebel Deva, Martina Hornbacher, Dan Swanö...), he contributed with something unique and put his mark on the ongoing THERION development. And just like the choice of Mats Levén was questioned in the beginning, (for being too rock ‘n’ roll for THERION) and later became a beloved part of the band’s identity at the time,  Snowy also made the journey from being regarded as a somewhat odd choice to becoming a popular character in the THERION show.

“This vacancy, however, gives us an opportunity to yet again take a different direction. We are right now in the process of creating the new production that will be used for the Sitra Ahra World Tour, and we have some thrilling options to choose from. As always, THERION will deliver something unique and challenging that will turn the water of the skeptics into the wine of a classic set-up. Stay tuned!”

THERION recently revealed the artwork to their new album, Sitra Ahra, on their homepage.  Mixed by Lennart Östlund (Led Zeppelin, ABBA) at the legendary Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, the new album will be released later this year.

The track listing for Sitra Ahra is as follows:

01. Sitra Ahra
02. Kings Of Edom
03. Unguentum Sabbati
04. Land Of Canaan
05. Hellequin
06. 2012
07. Cu Chulain
08. Kali Yoga III
09. The Shells Are Open
10. Din
11. After The Inquisition: Children

In May 2009, Johnsson announced that vocalist Thomas Vikström (ex-CANDLEMASS) had official permanent member status.  Johnsson recently recruited Christian Vidal (ex-The Road Vultures, ex-Cuero) from Argentina as the band's new guitarist, who his live debut with THERION on June 4, 2010 in Mexico City.  Comprising THERION's new rhythm section are Johan Koleberg (Animal, Zan Clan, Lion’s Share) on drums and Nalle "Grizzly" Påhlsson (Treat, Zan Clan, Vindictiv) on bass.

Hey guys!

Were still busy finalising the music for our second release and were still completely stoked with the new material. Not trying to sound over confident but multi platinum awards have ALREADY been awarded for it and its not even done yet. ;)

In other news we have booked a drum recording session at Foel Studio (Porcupine Tree, Napalm Death, Electric Wizard, Primordial, Paul Rogers) for the end of November, and the entire album will be mixed and mastered by the mighty Jacob Hansen (Aborted, Pestilence, Tyr, Hatesphere)

Anyway guys, we hope to see you at some of our upcoming shows for a beer or two!
