So that's what I put on now. 10 minutes in and I'm already annoyed. Why does is sounds like a musical?

I can see why it may remind you of an opera, but a musical?Confused  Also, those first ten minutes are some of my favorite ten minutes in music EVER.

Magma sounds like Stravinsky, and those are ballets, so it's not too far off.

I hate Bernstein.  Don't make that comparison ever again.

Magma sounds like Andrew Lloyd Webber.  Seriously, I can hardly tell their music apart.

Stravinsky and Orff, yes.  Bernstein, no.

What I'm listening to now (still Magma) doesn't sound anything like Stravinsky or Orff.  Mmm.

I like to be in America
Ok by me in America
Everything free in America
For a small fee in America...

I must insist  Tongue

Seriously, I must stop playing this, I'm going to move from "not caring for them to "disliking them."

That's only one album.  Try Kohntakosz or the debut.

I hate America.  It's a sh*tty tune from a sh*tty musical.

As I said, try another album.  They're all quite different.  Kohntarkosz has minimal vocals.

You didn't though... you stopped the album before it finished.  That's giving up.

K.A. is just repeated themes from other Magma tunes though.

Still Life is better than Godbluff, mind you but it comes a close second.  Very close, actually.

So much worse music though, June. Wink

LOL

I had to edit another post 3 times because I kept making typos... The worst part is that I have to go back to work in 10 minutes and teach...

Yup, Still Life is the greatest album of all time.  Godbluff is also one of the greatest of all time, and it's only the third best VDGG album!
