I've added Offenbach albums.

Anyone wants to write Normandeau's bio?
I have lots of bios to write lately.

I don't know about Offenbach being the best bandShockedConfusedWink.... it was certainly the longuest running (69-85),Clap and enjoyed continued success locallyStar

It's funny that only Offenbach and Corbeau (filled with ex-Offenbach members, but NOT prog at all) are the only bands to have managed to survive the disco and new wave tsunami (Maneige and CANO did survive until 83 & 85 respectively, but in pityful shape)

Uzeb, Wondeur Brass  and Miriodor being all-together different, since they formed in the 80's.

I don't really like the sound of Uzeb, but I LOVE Miriodor and Wondeur Brass/Justine/Les Poules.
Particularly Justine.

The reason of their continued sucess is probably due to their capacity to adapt to changing musical climate.AND the fact that they had excellent song writers;Boulet,LeBoeuf,McGale .

I have all 3 albums by Contrevent and I'm surprised their not in PA yet. They should be here big time. They sound a lot like mid period Maneige with Cello and vibes to the fore.

Sounds good to me, but I wouldn't know where to find samples for the JR/F teamfor their inclusion

Are you willing to write the bio in case they're accepted??

Grec Walker proposes both ungava and Man, Made (ordered both), but I'd be furious about Tabarnak, since I just ordered the vinyl two weeks ago.... (should arrive anyday, now)

I thought that Mandala took care of the re issue in digipak format , issued in 15. 02.2010, but I guess is not entirely legitim after all. See here http://recordheaven.net/body.cfm?x=browseNews&sc=&ob=dt&so=DESC&pp=20&pn=1&ID=&iID=97531&sl=true

That Syn-Phonic caries unlegit and boots is no surprises, but that Record Heaven does is more surprising.

I just heard Man Made's apparently sole album (not sure this is a Quebecois band per se, but at least two of the 5 are francophones)....

I think it deserves inclusion.... any opinions???

They definetely deserve inclusion.I do belive they are Quebecois even if some of the names don't sound 100% francophone.Their reeds man Roger Walls was a busy musician on the local scene lending is talent to Ville-Émard Blues Band and Beau Dommage amongst others....
Lets not forget that Montreal in particular and Québec in general had a healthy anglo-Italian rock/pop/prog scene back in the 70's with such artists as Walter Rossi, the Vanelli brothers,Frank Marino,Angelo Finaldi,Serge Fiori ,ect....
Many of the musicians with Milkweed are of Italian and english origins too.

I was thinking that Mahogany Rush, Sex and Charlee all would stand a chance at inclusion in PA

Let's not forget some Eastern Canada artistes basing themselves in Montreal , such as April Wine.
