I would try it but you haven't given the link. My guess is there's a hidden link somewhere on the page - move the cursor around until it turns into a finger.

If you press CTLR+A, you'll get all text on page selected. Including black text on black background if this is the case. Of course, I haven't seen the page, but this usually works.
