When i say dream, i mean the type when you are in the middle of sleeping, of course being of a non-private nature, and something you feel like sharing
my most memorable one occurred quite some time ago, must be at least 15 to 17 years past, but it was the most  startling i have ever experienced

It was in the middle of WW2, i was at sea in the middle of the North Atlantic, observing a struggle between some German SS officers and British seamen-i was viewing what was  going on, but i was not being seen myself-the germans were directing their guns at the seamen and telling them "you do as we say, or we will kill you"
then, all of a sudden, a circle on the floor opened up below me, and i fell down a long tube, down through the upper decks and further below into the deep bowels of the ship
i then woke up, and was in some kind of chamber underneath the sea floor, and stacked  up in front of me, were human bodies covered in blocks of ice-in my left hand, was a pitcher of water -i then poured it onto the closest ice block, and the human form cracked and pushed its way up through the ice, and it was Adolf Hitler, himself, dressed in his uniform! He stood up and as he shook the ice off himself, he grinned his fiendish grin, and asked me "What is your name?" I replied, and he shook my hand and said "thank you"
i looked at  the next  block of  ice , and could  see  that  it  was  none other  than  SS  Chief  Heinrich  Himmler,  and  at  this point, i  was  so  frightened ,  i  could not continue , and then i woke up completely.
I have always wondered what a dream analyst would make of this one!

I dreamt that I was dying once. It was horrible, because I could feel everything happening to my body quite vividly.

I've often wondered if, when my time truly DOES come, it will feel the same way it did in my dream. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see.

Nothing particular, but one recurring theme - I can't control my actions well, like I'm drugged, or extremely tired.

It's hard. Because being not in control of myself is my nightmare even in real life.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

I was spending a weekend at a place called "The Indian Rock Inn". At some point during sleep, I dreamt I was at a circus. I seemed to be walking around the tents where the circus performers stayed. A ballheaded man that was muscular started coming for me with an axe. I felt in the dream as if my legs could not run fast enough. The next thing I know, I feel my face being slapped. I heard the chant of a native American Indian and my limbs felt frozen. It was my wife who was slapping my face saying......C'mon! C'mon you Son of a Bi...ch! Wake up! Finally, I realized that it was me who was making the Indian chant sounds but, I was still halfway between sleep and awakeness and felt like my arms were frozen.
Somehow, I could see her face and I awoke. She thought an Indian spirit was channeling through me. I don't know what to think about it all.

This is a strange incident but not a dream. One night I was listening to Mick Ronson...."Slaughter On Tenth Avenue" with my wife. We just decided to put him on for some reason or other. We weren't listening to music of this style at the time but, remembered Mick Ronson from the Bowie days. I placed the album on the turntable and as it played, we talked all about his guitar playing on the early Bowie albums and his arrangements for 'Life On Mars". Suddenly, the turntable stopped. The sound of the recording slowly coming to a stop. The turntable was fried and as I checked it, the phone rang. My wife picked up the phone and it was her sister. She said the reason she called was to tell us that Mick Ronson died.

One time, I had a dream that I was going to make out with a girl, but she wanted to listen to Gentle Giant while we did. I didn't have any, so she left. I also had a dream that I had a Decemberists album from the library, and it had the cover art for The Crane Wife, but it had 60 one minute tracks, and I wanted to give it a chance even though I didn't like Hazards of Love, but if I scrobbled it The Decemberists would become my most played artist on last.fm.

I think I have an unhealthy relationship with the internet.

It's not my most memorable dream, but it is memorable. Last week I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep listening to Brainticket and I saw my mom hanging laundry on a clothes line, from what looked like through a counter with cabinets above it so it was only a rectangle. The cupboards/counter were white IIRC. The oddest part though was that it seemed like it was projected onto my eyelids instead of being a dream.

Last night I dreamt (I see Firefox has already dropped this tense of this verb) I was in a plane falling down into the ocean just like the French Airbus crashed in the Atlantic last year. Despite somehow surviving the impact (or getting out of my body to be able to watch my own crash... something like that), it was awful.

I have two dreams which I often think of, and a third that is still fresh in my memory.

1:
I dreamt this when I was maybe 6 or 7. I was at the beach, but there was nobody else there besides me. It was cloudy and grey. And out in the water is a bunch of statues, the water isn't very deep and only reaches their ankles or so. I have never been so terrified in my life. It stands out as the scariest moment of my life still, and it was only a dream. I've often thought that if I ever make a movie, I have to include this dream somehow.

2:
Two men in suits (one of which is me) are walking on a stony beach, meaning that there are like, round rocks instead of sand. They're walking along and suddenly they stop and look at a big flat rock that stands up on it's own. Suddenly a bunch of beetles starts running around in a line over the rock. And then out of nowhere, an attractive young woman leaps along and spits at the beetles. The beetles stop for a moment and then continue running around. This dream has fascinated me since the moment I dreamt it about two years ago or so.

3:
I dreamt this last week I think. I had bought a videogame and when I got it home the disc was broken and I couldn't play it. I then spent what seemed like an eternity trying to find the receipt for the game, but I couldn't find it. It was very stressful. Then the dream sort of leapt and I was back in the store where I bought the game, now with some friends of mine. I don't think we did anything in the store but that part of the dream is blurry. When it was time to go home, one of my friends was driving, and he was a terrible driver. I spent the enitre ride shouting at him to be more careful and look at the road, which my friends found very amusing. I was very angry.

I've got quite a few

This one was on the other dream thread: I was in a fistfight with the gasmask guy on the cover of Steven Wilson's Insurgentes.
One time, I dreamt that I was sitting on the couch watching TV. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I opened the door, and there was a 7 foot tall bottle of Sprite with legs. He then began to yell at me for drinking his family to death. He then threw in the back of a green van and the van drove on for about half an hour. I was in a huge desert which had a red sky. Before me was a giant Sprite bottle about a hundred feet tall. 6 or 7 other Sprite bottles the same size as the one who stole me from my home grabbed me and chained me up. They put me before a judge bottle. He sentenced me to death for over 600 counts of Sprite murder. The death was having my head unscrewed and the giant bottle drinking my insides. DeadLuckily I woke up before that. I never drank Sprite again for about a week or so.
I also once had a dream where John Myung kept sending me death threats in the mail.

Too sexually explicit.

Too violently explicit.

My dreams tend to be Freudian fever dreams of awesomeness.

Jejeje the latest memorable dream I had a guy from my university, who I think is gay, tried to pick me up.... and I didn´t have the heart to tell him I´m not gay so I would make up excuses like "Yeah, but I´m really busy and I can´t have a relationship right now"...

jejejeje definitly a bizarre dream

One time I dreamed I was swimming in this mechanical lake with my family and the water rose up....at least thousands of feet high for no reason. It was so high, I don't think animation could do it justice. Then, it came back down. Holy f**k. I don't think IMAGINATION could do that part justice. I'm amazed the images of it still remain in my mind. Then I woke up and I said out loud, "sh*t".
