Topic: Who has the best screen name/avatar on PA? Posted: April 13 2010 at 09:17 |
In your opinion, who has the best screen name here on PA? Who has the best avatar?
My vote for screen name goes to Exitthelemming. I find the name to be intriguing because, in case you are unaware (as many of my generation are), the urban myth of lemmings committing mass suicide by jumping off a cliff in Canada was perpetuated in a Disney educational film from 1958. So this screen name works on two levels. If he believes the myth, then you admire the lemming who was smart enough to escape. And if he knows it's a myth, then you have an individual who recognizes the human need for a "good story" and has elected to exit for the sake of reason.
My vote for avatar goes to lazland. There's something truly humbling about a monkey wearing the pair of glasses I own.

There are lots of them - some of my favourites are Vompatti, Ricochet, The Progtologist, Atavachron (but with his previous avatar), A Person are some of the best. Also Reed Lover and Velvetclown were great, haven't seen those guys in a while

Right now, my favorite is Bonnek's cat sleeping in his food dish.

As I said before, avatars that make fun of animals should be forbidden by the forum guidelines !

We once had a pair of cats. They looked exactly like those above.

Very humbling (and unprecedented) to be considered 'intriguing' (I much prefer grievously irritating) Coolest screenname for me is ' Marty McFly' (but probably the worst avatar ) Best avatar goes to James (the kitten rawkin' out with the headphones) BTW Although I do like cats, there seems to be a pandemic of feline avatar critters around at the moment ?) Cue indignant riposte from Raff/Mickey

Thanks for mentioning me (I wondered if by any chance I will be nominated, but I supposed I'll not be, because the chance was low). Bearing name Marty McFly means also responsiblity, I have to behave a little bit like him. A little bit. But what's wrong about my avatar ? It's my interpretation of The Flower Kings's album: Done in MS Paint by myself. You know, original, even beginners work. And this is my Metal Music Archives avatar. I suppose it's more fitted to be there than here :-)

Finnforest used to have the tastiest avatars around here but he completely mellowed out lately. So my vote for both avatar and name goes to Ricochet's mysterious blue eye

I've been getting some subtle feedback that people prefer Starbuck to Snoopy. Peanuts characters or hot Sci-Fi women? What should I do??

My favourite for both is Vompatti, but KoS comes close.
I prefer Finnforest's new avatar to the old one.

I just watched her as Anna from V. I like her better with short hair.
