Eric,  good points about the set list, especially ' the Great Escape',  however I'm concerned that they put more effort i.e. camera angles, production quality, etc.  into the Port Zelande DVD.  not sure which one to get..  k

Oh Kenmar, by far they put more effort into the European convention. I believe Montreal wasn't even going to be filmed at all until Lucy got somebody to do it at a good deal. They had two cameras mounted on booms on both sides of the stage, plus maybe a camera or two at the back. From the looks of the trailer, this DVD looks to be the best so far in terms of camera work and such. Even if I didn't attend the Montreal convention, I'd still get what they were offering.

Mark said that the Saturday night show in Montreal could've been the best night out of both conventions. There was something magical about that night and h just commanded the stage. Absolutely killer.

My better half cannot stand my bloated CD collection....if the truth were known. We've been together almost 15 years and she's never seen me into a band like I have with Marillion. She knows how much I enjoy them and tends to show me some leniency with Marillion.

After a busy day clearing out son'e bedroom & the garage, time for a lazy scoot around YouTube. Came across this when searching under Rothery. A lovely live version at the convention of a fantastic song:

The Holland set is being sold now, and Montreal later on in the year.

I guess I'm lucky with Denise, she doesn't mind my collecting. Perhaps it's because she loves music as well ( and is a much better musician than I am ), and I often buy things for her collection too.  I'll probably end up with both convention sets. The European experience will be interesting, but ultimately I want to re-live the Montreal shows.

I'll show you here:

So you use the code of (TUBE)(/TUBE) with the ('s replaced with ['s, for each side, and then place the end part of the youtube URL within the field:

So, for the video you posted, its the underlined section: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3fUC35KZlQ

You copy and paste that section within the (TUBE)(/TUBE) field, and after posting, it should show up like this:

And a fantastic video it is!

^ Wow, this is a really good version of one of the best songs from the new album!Clap

By the way, guys, what do you, Marillion fans as you are, think of another fine Neo-prog band called IQ, compared with Marillion?Ermm

Good day to you Joren !  IQ are a fine group. Not quite as elegant as Marillion, but certainly worth checking out. For me their best is "Dark Matter" from 2004, with "Subterranea"  and "The Seventh House" closely following in terms of quality.  Peter Nicholls' voice does not match H, but he has his own character. Their 80's output sounds a bit dated and of it's time, but there are a few interesting bits among this era as well.
