I've made it to the Fish portion of my alphabetical tour through my CD collection. Sadly, I do not have Vigil In A Wilderness of Mirrors, but I have listened to Internal Exile and Songs from the Mirror, and now I am currently listening to Sunsets on Empire. I've only got Raingods With Zippos and Thirteenth Star remaining plus a few live albums like Return to Childhood, Uncle Fish and The Crypt Keepers, and Pigpen's Birthday. Enjoyable listening so far. I'm really not all that familiar with his music aside from a number of listens to Thirteenth Star. The rest I have only heard a handful of times, but have been fortunate enough to pick up along the way.

Hey, thanks, Joel. Just got back from my morning run and heard "Neverland" on the iPod. #43 is definitely starting off on a sweet note.

A random question; Is anyone in the round table lucky enough to own the vinyl pressing of Brave?
According to the wikipedia, the last side has a different groove, which, depending on where the needle is placed, reveals a different ending to The Great Escape, which skips Made Again and ends the album differently. I'd be interested if any of you have it or have heard it |

Ehm, guys, I felt really awful this afternoon, so I decided to cheer myself up with a listen to Misplaced Childhood and the most odd (to me at least) thing happened: it didn't cheer me up. I felt there was way too much reverb/echo on virtually every instrument the whole 42 minutes long.
Have you guys ever noticed this too? or is it just me? I'm now listening to Clutching at Straws on which the reverb is much less (especially on the drums!)

I'm not quite sure about the reverb Joren, because I've never had a particular problem with that, but I would say that it's not the most obvious album to listen to to cheer yourself up Hope you're feeling better soon |

(And about the reverb, it's expecially heavy on the drums i.e. the snare, IMO)

The trailer for the new DVD boxset is exceptional. The pre-order details are not on the website yet, but I think I will have to get it.
Now for how to explain this to the wife.............. |

I'm looking for an excuse to spend the money coming from Brazil to the next convention and this may be it.

Joel, I still think the North American convention had the better set list. Basically the same, but since they don't play here very often, they opted to leave out "Drilling Holes", "Hard As Love" and "Lap Of Luxury", and include "Fantastic Place", "Afraid Of Sunlight" and "The Great Escape". All three I've always wanted to witness live and so glad they took things into consideration when planning the set list. Definitely getting the DVD. I may hold off on the box set for now. E |

I mean: "Berlin", "After Me", "When I Meet God" even "Drilling Holes" for crying out loud, of which the band said, they weren't able to play it live!! And then the Sunday night set...I just háve to get this one
