This is what generally happens with duplicated artist entries. The whole content is deleted, and the empty page used for another entry. I tried to do the same yesterday when I realized an album had been added twice, but to no avail... |

Please remove this double entry:
I made a mistake and clicked twice. Did not realised that the previous click already worked... Thanks.

Two doubles for Metallica, all added by the same guy:
Live at Wembley Stadium EP
Until It Sleeps CDS
Please delete the latter of both, they're in the wrong area.

Can I at least get a comment on this issue? Is there a silent treatment policy that I don't know about? |

Why do fk the older entry hasn't been added in Various Artists at first place? No wonder the person who added the re-issue entry couldn't find it there... As as I see it: it would be the best if we can merge two entries, but I'm quite sure this is not technically possible in PA facility. Hence, one entry should be deleted. The new one has only one review, so I guess it's better to delete that one (and then move the old review on the right place). Also Mandrakeroot who posted the review (I think he's logging in these days as '1967/1976') should get a PM notice so he can copy/paste his old review and re-post it. That's how I see it. Awkward... |

Thank you for your answer!
My review of the Goblin album is in fact a review of the 13-track album since I originally didn't know that both of these albums were listed on PA. |

The Jimi Hendrix page needs a general clean-up:
Musique Originale du Film Jimi Plays Berkley:
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23380 One is listed as a live album, the other as a compliation. I don''t know which is right.
DVD Video Sampler:
Live at Monterey
These seems to be a DVD version and a Blu-Ray version of the same movie, there's no differnece in the track listing, except for the misspelling of track 4, Foxy Lady, on the DVD version.

Well, I think there were much more albums re-released under different name, cover and/or tracks names - to name one (two?): Tangerine Dream - Quichotte / Pergamon, which at Progarchives are two different albums... In my opinion there should be one procedure how to treat such situations (re-released albums, different editions, different covers etc.) there at Progarchives. In the SBB's case, removing Slovenian Girls made me think that something like "alternate cover" feature should be really useful. Discuss. |

^I believe that there is usual decision on PA - original release (cover ) is included as main one, and all re-releases/versions are just stated in inside details. There are really many of albums completed like this.
If you will find such albums, please just inform there on this thread.
Discussion about alternative covers is not new there, and I fully agree with you. But I think there are technical problems why we don't have this possibility on PA till now.At least, is more important just to place all possible info about alternative releases/covers of original album on it's page.

What is the reasoning behind two versions of Transatlantic's Bridge Across Forever album listed?
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=1342 http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=1343 Their latest album The Whirlwind has also a Limited Edition version so should it be added as well? |

^ I've never understood that, either. The same thing has been done with Henry Cow's reissues. It's basically an excuse for us to boost our reviews number by simply reviewing the same album twice (one review per version). While I do enjoy that quite a bit, it makes for some confused newcomers, I'm sure. |

Well, if it would quite being moved to the 'compilations' section and be left alone in the 'studio albums' section where it belongs, people would actually see it, and quite uploading it. The content on that album wasn't taken from previous releases, and the songs WERE taken from a studio session by Hendrix that are unique to this release. So it's a studio album.
