Magma : decryptage d'un mythe et d'une musique (2010 Le Mot Et Le Reste)

New book about Magma in one of the most interesting French editions Le Mot Et Le Rest specialized in music and especially in Prog. Written by an universitarian it has a classical approach with a thematic first part and a detailled chronological  analysis of the records up to E.-Re.

Nope.

I'm in my 5th year of doing French, though. We had to do it for 2 years, so I decided I may as well continue with it

Looks interesting Martin! I'll try to struggle through it with the aid of a dictionary - my French A level was a long time ago but I can still more or less understand interviews in Rock et Folk provided there's not too much slang involved.

The team of the fanzine Traverses made a review of this book - and they don't look very happy with this one:

The review is on their forum.

I just read the review, which is as you said quite negative. So far all books I read from the Le Mot Et Le Reste  edition were good or excellent. A bit astonishing, that according to the reviewer, the book was hastely published with typing and other errors just to bring out the book for the 40th birthday of Magma, as the edition risks their good reputation.
