I agree that the party is more fun than most games played at a LAN party (though exceptions include Diablo II ) and that I'd rather play a game solo if I really want to enjoy the game. That's why I play Oblivion so much, because I've found the ways to make it a perfect fit for what I want from a game, and if I want a bit of "shoot 'em up" style, I'll pull out Fallout 3 or Crysis.

People do have LAN parties here, not anyone on my floor but I know it happens. Everyone does play Modern Borefare...er, Warfare 2 online together though.
It's not so much the game that makes LAN parties fun, it's more about the LAN party itself, which is why I put up with boring games. If I want to enjoy a game I will play solo.
Also, MW is way better than Halo, IMO. Really the only thing that keeps me playing is to unlock everything. The biggest reason I hate playing Live is because everyone camps way too much.

Already did that. I'm thinking that if my friends want to go I'll probably go. Even if it sucks, I won't lose any money by seeing it there, all I have to do is have a Penn State student ID to get in.
Wish I could see movies for free like that.
Transfer to Penn State then.
Sounds like a good idea. Except it makes no sense at all.
You'd be able to see movies for free like that. Of course you'd also pay crazy tuition rates for being out of state, etc. It's all worth it for the free movies though, right?
For the most part I don't even enjoy most movies very much, so probably not. However, living on campus I'm sure we could get some great LAN parties going.
