I'm lucky I'm still alive.

I live near that hospital.

Glad to hear you're still alive I guess - Are you alright?

You're in my prayers

Thanks Joel. Me and my family are alright now. I was at work when the flashfloods came and washed out practically all that was on its path. Good thing I have my phone with me and ordered the wife and my 1 1/2 year old son to move to higher grounds. I'm still lucky I managed to get home after being stranded for more than 7 hours. All roads that lead to our house were flooded, it's a miracle I got home alive. We're starting anew.

My parents just came back today from a vacation in Manila cos the mother was born there (I couldn't come with them sadly, someone had to stay home and make sure the pet dog was being fed etc and that was me, otherwise that would have kicked ass to have met you Jay).
Glad they are safe, and glad you're safe too bro. Absolute tragedy on the current death toll so far:(

We are yet to face another one. Super Typhoon named "Pepeng" is expected to hit Manila, Saturday morning or early afternoon. With winds traveling up to 220km/h, CNN said it could be as devastating as Hurricane Katrina. We're preparing for the worst, and hoping for the best. Please keep us in your prayers/thoughts. Thank you.

Scary and sad.

Picture number 4, that's  our town called Cainta, located 20 kms east of Manila, and as that picture suggests, it is really that bad.

oh man, Jay, I remember last year you were moving to a new place and now this, are you guys staying through the storm?  I will definitely be thinking of you this weekend, and will beam you some protection.

That's what is so frustrating about it. We moved in to a new place, and now, less that 6 months, I'm contemplating of relocating once more. I do hope everything comes out fine.. Thanks guys.

Yeah, thanks man, I'm in an internet cafe as I type, my PC got washed away by the flood.Cry. I'm about 90% done cleaning the house, getting rid of all that mud and floodwater that got into our house. I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the coming super typhoon this Saturday.Cry

I really hope you don't have to move... That would suck

Also, please keep us updated, but don't worry about us - Make sure you focus attention on your family
