Don't remember smashing my motor when I went to be fitted for a Sabbath T-shirt in a strange town... but then again Mrs Dingo's going shopping in the car today while I'm at work, so...

The driver who was respnsible looked like an ageing Goth.Jet black,back-combed hair standing about two feet above her forehead....Or was that the effect of the crash?

A Goth who goes for private dress fittings... Just not my type of gal!

It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

Well your shed looks a bit buggered, but possibly salvageable, but I think you can safely say your compost bin is (in the technical language favoured by insurers) completely f ed!
What I don't understand is the container on the left... did you give it a kicking out of sheer frustration, or did it fall over from shock?

The plant trough stood between the shed and the lavender and was knocked over the lavender and onto the path.
Good news.I had two offers for a replacement composter.Community spirit eh? Just like during the blitz. Did I tell you about what happened to me in April 1940...or was it September 1940?...Anyway...

If it turns out the damage to the shed is terminal, I think there should be a full-on viking funeral... float it out to sea (unless you can find a convenient fjord) then set fire to it, sending it on its way to Shed Valhalla in a blaze of glory to the soundtrack of 'Ride Of The Valkyrie' (or Hatfield & The North's 'Mumps' )

'(unless you can find a convenient fjord)'
I can find a Land Rover that someone has written off.Put the deceased shed into that and then send off Viking stylee.

That looks a bit like Vicky's parking (now hiding somewhere in UK).

Sorry to sound awkward,David. I live in the suburbs.
About a quarter of a mile a way there is a set of traffic lights with filter lanes. To avoid this, many drivers use our road as a 'rat run'. to get onto the A30 road which is the main road towards the West Country.
We live at the end of the 'rat run' on the corner of a cross road.
There have been many incidents over the passed 10 years including one near fatality.Surrey County Council refuse to listen to residents appeals for traffic calming measures.Bl**dy wealthy councils!!! |
Having been to your house, Lee, I know exactly what you mean. Awful news and quite obviously a shock to your system.

Sorry to hear about your shed Lee.
I think you may need a new fence as well.

And on that note, I'll bid y'all in the Shed goodbye for a while - be good, keep The Shed tidy & I'll see y'all at the beginning of August.

Safe journey, Jim & Vicky, & we wants lots of photos!
On a vaguely related note - me and Mrs Syzygy are moving into our new flat at the weekend, and BT have promised that the Broadband connection will be working by the end of Monday. This probably means that Jim will be posting his holiday photos shortly before I get back online.
Lee - sorry to hear about the accident. If you ask me, when anybody damages an innocent shed like that they should lock them up and throw away the key! I had that Richard Littlejohn in the back of the cab once...

Thanks Alan. I'm not too worried to be honest - I mean what could possibly go wrong?
