Bleagh - I hate anything made with or involving honey - there are so many honey or honeyed beers around my friends drool over, but they just taste disgusting to me +++retch+++

Hmmm - 5:40pm...

Beer o/clock

Hopefully before Jim gets in, is this what they serve there James? Tongue Big smile

Not as far as I am aware.

We had a CAMRA beer festival on the railway last weekend.  Unfortunately I was signalman on Saturday but got down there early doors on Sunday and had a nice pint of Isambard Kingdom Brown Ale, followed by an excellent pint of Wickwar Station Porter (6.1%).  I then went home to sleep in front of the Grand Prix but returned later to sample a couple more before going for the traditional post beer curry.  It was nice to actually have a day off for a change.Tongue

We're planning at least one repeat event next year.Thumbs Up

I have a car, sat-nav and a petrol allowance (eek! expenses Shocked) - so I can travel to you or meet somewhere along the route betwixt. Smile

I'm in oh Darq one. Tongue

Martin hasn't been on today so I guess we should wait before finalising but for now I can do Wednesday any time from 4.30pm onwards.

Assuming Martin can make it I suggest a watering hole that is easily accessible and on the outskirts of the city.

This should be ideal:     http://www.the-rivergarden.co.uk/index.html

Yep, sounds ideal Approve ... unless Martin has another preference that is closer to him, (if he's available)

What?

Just because you're getting on in years there's no reason for any unfortunate 'trouser accidents'.

Once recorded a round of the BBC Wiltshire Sound pub quiz in the Beehive.  A bit cramped getting two teams of four with mics and buzzer buttons etc. set up in there.LOL

@ Steve (& Martin & Jared) - I'll be finishing work around 5:30 - 6:00 - a quick shower and change and I can be in the River Garden by 7:30 - 8:00. You can't miss me - long grey hair, dressed in black, goatee and sometimes a leather hat. (unless all folk in Norfolk look like that Confused)

Has anyone heard from Jared recently?  I know I've not been here myself much of late so maybe I just missed him?

I've passed the birthday wishes on, although I am trying t persuade him his birthday is OVER now so ultra pampering is due to cease!
