^ thanks for the info - no idea who they were, I know the VU name though

Same for Renaissance - no previous experience, the track sounds good, I am sure the name is not a coincidence as the 'barroque' tunes are distinct

That line-up only did  one album , the first Renaissance album before rthe more familiar line-up took over - how I don't know, since the first line up released a second album under the name Illusion

This sounds very much Balkan and eastern Europe stuff - I can even identify some Greek-alike tunes in there (north Greece and areas closer to Slavic tribes)

However, played by a Swedish band - picked up on this band through PA's jazz rock fusion group

I presume we have entered the 'fusion' part of the show - even though I don't know a lot about the genre I quite enjoy your selections in this area

We drift in and out of jazz fusion after the first 30 minutesd (which is completely jazz/fusion) - so expect anything wrt type of music and a fair degree of obscurity

SOmetimes called Spunk Rock - the term tends to suggest British jam rock of the early 70's especially played by Man and few other Welsh bands

The next show on Thursday will feature albums released in the last couple of years - e.g. avoiding last week's long excursion into late 60's and early 70's recordings (e.g. with harpsichord). Hence somethings from the new CJ3 album: King Crimson Songbook Volume 2. Kim of Polyethylene Pet has provided some demos from their next album - or maybe will be on that album. There's more music with a Bulgarian feel, but an Icelandic band rathe rthan a Swedish band this time. More dipping into Anekdoten's Chapters album. A couple favourites in jazz fusion from Elephant9 and Morglbl (the latter going a storm in the USA at the moment  and a new album out very soon) . With news of Jakko's The Bruised Romantic Glee Club getting a reissue very soon, a long burst from that album.

Generally expect the unexpected.

Just bought a new PC - trouble is Windows software has changed so much - in fact it was matter of an hour's frustration uploading the playlist to PA.
