Nope.  It'll (IPoL) be maybe 4.  3.5 but rounded up.

I know Mike too well.

I round up if it's over .5 and round down if it's lower than .5.

I'd give IPoL 4/5

War is just not good enough and the whole album is a bit of a miss-match.  It doesn't flow properly.

And Moore/Blegvad compositions shouldn't be on the album.  Save that for Slapp Happy.

I think Howe is going to get a 3... maybe a 2. I'll figure that out at the end of the review.

hmm... IPoL may get a 4. I've only heard it 4 times now, and that's not nearly enough. "War" starts things out disastrously (seriously, I see nothing to like in that song), but I'm only Living In The Heart Of The Beast right now, which is SOOOOOOOooooooo much better - and I remember liking side 2 a lot.

LitHotB is even better live though.

Now if they'd swapped War with a studio version of No More Songs or The Ottawa Song, the album would be much better.

And ended it with a superb 7 or 8 minute version of The March. Big smile

Just add on No More Songs, Ottawa Song, AND The March.

Then it's even better. Big smile

No.

I like my albums to be about 45 to 50 minutes in length.

Discard the trite and rather short War and stick in No More Songs as an opener.  Remove Morning Star and stick in The March.  Although you'd have to rename Beginning: The Long March. Confused

Or you could just keep IPOL how it is: perfect. Wink
