OOooooooh man, this is a tough one. Personally I prefer Subhuman to Blue Oyster Cult (which BOC's self titled is a remake of) - although BOC was probably one of the best tracks off of Imaginos. I'm going to have to go with Black Sabbath on this one (and shock everyone by doing so ) simply because that is easily my favorite Sabbath track.

"On your feet or on your knees... Here's BLUE OYSTER CULT!!!!" Anyway, they are both great songs, though the one from the mighty New Yorkers is much more sophisticated, while the one from the Brummies is suitably dark and ominous.

My two favorite self-titled songs...well, except maybe for "hey, hey we're the Monkees" Both are dark, doom and gloom type songs. In the case of Black Sabbath, the band was named after the song, and appeared on their debut album. In the case of BOC, the song was named after the band, and appeared much later in their career (and started life on their third album as the song "Subhuman"). Which is your favorite?
