as a matter of fact, I'm presently devising the Shed's Spring evening discussion programme, and I have a gap in mid March, somewhere between Rob's evening on 'Practical Beetroot-keeping', Jim's 'The Human Digestive System - an Empirical Study', Alan's '101 things to do with a cub scout on a soggy campsite' and Rachel's 'Living with Lardycake...the secret confessions of a domestic goddess' (all the boys are looking forward to that one..Wink)

 

I've even heard that Peter will be weighing in with his own 'Motorcycle Diaries' at some stage, so you'll be more than welcome...Approve




I think that Jim and I are presenting a 'Real Ale guide to the United Kingdom' between 19.00 and 19.10.It could be shorter.All depends how many people are in the bar.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Australian Kettle Chips can`t guard your house or shed while you`re sleeping. You don`t like dogs? I have two of the critters. The Australian Cattle Dog is in the top 10 percent of canine intelligence. They can learn anything except speaking English in less than 5 exposures. You wouldn`t believe what mine know. They are also one of the toughest breeds and are extremely vigilant and loyal. I`ll take an ACD over an alsation, doberman or rotweiler as a watchdog any day.

Dogs and I have this understanding ... I keep well away from them, and they don't bite my arse - once dogs figure out this is a one-sided arangement I fear I'm in for a paisting. My Mother-in-law once owned a Rhodesian Ridgeback - they must be in the bottom 10% for intelligence, but what it lacked in smarts it made up for in enthusiasm - he once pinned me to the wall ('he's just being friendly'), ripping holes in my leather biker jacket. They locked it in the kitchen once because he'd been a bad boy (probably tried to bury the Range Rover again) - it ate through the bloody door!
