We were lucky on that one - I originally called to report broadband problems too, but when they sorted that out, they also fitted the new box for us as well...
...and gave us a 2 month credit on the broadband for the inconvenience. I don't like to generalise, but since they've pulled their customer caure call centre back from overseas, the service has improved hugely (touch wood)

Wait till they read my feedback form!!! That'll learn 'em.
I'm not sure their tech support isn't overseas, at least the guy I spoke to certainly wasn't English. I had a lot of trouble understanding him, I think he was Dutch or something. Maybe it was Steve McClaren.

James, James, James...
when you spot a grammatical error of this nature, it would be more expedient to assume that it is deliberate, and not say anything...
unless of course, you are absolutely convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that the poster has made a genuine error...
in which case, the best course of action would be to not say anything...

well after an afternoon of rain, which looked as if it might just melt away some of the snow........ we've been having a blizzard for the last 2 hours. The rooftops are now re-covered, the last lot pulled all the guttering down, so this is going to be fun! We've now got about 7 inches of snow........ I know that's not much by Peter's standards, but we're so unequiped for this! I've not seen grass for over a week now, it's getting a bit weird!
All this means, I fear, that tomorrow, once again the school will be closed, it hasn't been open since last Wednesday.

I am having similar issues with the snow.
Early last week when the snow wasn't quite so bad, I was ill. I usually go out Tuesday nights. Then the weekend came and I haven't been out.
Now the snow has started up again and the conditions are even more hazardous that before and I want to go out tomorrow night...
I feel like I'm stuck indoors. I haven't been out of the house since last Monday (and that was to pick my car up from a mate's house after a drunken Saturday night), when the snow wasn't quite so bad.
Plus my mother works in a school and she is always annoying when she's home... grr!

Had fun last night, the snow came on hard yesterday evening whilst I was at the pub quiz I go to in Little Witcombe. When I set off home there were a few inches of snow on the ground making driving interesting and I got back through Cheltenham ok but failed halfway up Cleeve Hill through lack of grip. I retraced my steps and tried some back roads which were less steep and finally managed to get home at around midnight. In a couple of places I just ran out of momentum before the top of the hill but my car being a diesel I just left it ticking over in 1st and got out an pushed; once it was moving I walked it up the hill leaning against the door post to provide assistance.
Weather forecast is now for sunshine and no snow for a few days. Might get something done at last.

Although we were expecting blizzard conditions last night, we just got high winds & very heavy rain for the most part - I woke up about 3 this morning & had a look & there was some snow coming down, but now the weather's just settled down into what I believe the Met office officially describe as ing filthy.

It's certainly the most snow I've seen for a long time and for a prolonged period.
A shed in my garden last week:

My parents came back from Maizey Hampton after 11 p.m. last night and almost got stuck in the blizzard. They've just got a second hand car too, so they're getting used to it. But yes, hopefully all is well weather wise form now on. I want to go the pub quiz tonight (usually a weekly endeavour).
